Hey guys Im supposed to be sharpening my dad's buck odyssey tomorrow. He will just be using it for general purpose stuff, cutting cardboard, zip ties, box tape, paper, plastic. So I was wondering what angle you guys reprofile this steel too?? I was thinking of just going with the 15 degree primary and a 20 degree microbevel. What do you guys think?

Standard Sharpmaker angles (15 and 20) as you have suggested work great for me on Buck knives. The factory edge is actually steeper than thatLink but I think the 20 degree is easier to maintain, especially with my equipment.

I don't use my Bucks very hard, but I do keep the edges at 15 / 20 degrees, like I do on my work knives. That angle combination gives me the best compromise between sharpness and edge strength for the things I cut in a warehouse.

Well I just got a course diasharp diamond stone. So im going to freehand the 15 degree angle, after that hit it with a medium benchstone. Then move to the medium stones on the sharpmaker at the 15 degree angle. Change over to the medium stones in the 20 degree angle and then go to the fine stones in the 20 degree angle. And thats it, im hoping its razor sharp.
