Ok guys, up for sale is my Edge Pro Apex 4 kit that I purchased brand new from Knifeworks back in January of this year. It's a little used, but certainly not abused. I've done maybe 20 knives on the system, and it's in fantastic shape. It includes everything that a normal Apex 4 kit comes with, and if you need more pictures for proof, I'll be glad to provide them. The kit normally comes new with 15 each 2k and 3k grit tapes, and I've used 5 of each so there are (10) 2k and (10) 3k tapes left. The 600 and 1000 grit stones have almost all of their life left as they were used less frequently, but the original 120 is nearly gone, and probably half of the 220 and 400 grit stones' life is gone. I will provide pics of stone thickness if you need them. Also, the 400 grit stone recently came loose from it's aluminum backing, but some spray adhesive is all you need to reattach it.
Here are the extras included:
(1) brand new, unused EP 120 grit stone (shown to the far right in photo)
(1) drill stop collar with allen wrench that's a must when using the EP
(2) VERY strong magnets (check out ChefKnivesToGo to see the exact magnet, very useful to tape underneath the table)
(1) bag of Silicon Carbide powder ordered from Edge Pro for stone leveling with at least 95% remaining
(1) nano cloth strop already loaded with 1 micron CBN spray by Ken Schwartz (should last a long time and you'll get to test out the level of sharpness and finish the EP is capable of)
(1) nano cloth strop already loaded with 0.5 micron CBN spray by Ken Schwartz (with the strops I'll be glad to converse with you through email to get your technique down for a crazy, hair-whittling edge)
The glass base pictured is not included, but if you'd like it, please add $25 to the total price below. It's a 12"x12" of tempered glass with 3M grippy furniture pads on both sides which allows for a smooth top surface to set the EP on, and you can flip it over to level your stones. On my countertop and on my wooden coffee table, it does not slide when sharpening. I had to pay a guy to cut it and it'll add to my shipping cost, so that's why I'm only listing it as an extra. The base that EP sells is around $50 plus shipping. All of these extras with a normal EPA 4 with all the shipping costs will run you over $325 without the base. You also get Edge Pro's lifetime warranty with this.
