Edge Pro diamond stone

I've considered trying the 1x4" DMTs, but to be honest I'm very satisfied with the 2x6" DMT XC & C that I have mounted. True, they're a bit heavy but not enough to bother me, and a stone twice as wide removes metal quite a bit faster. The extra width might make it impossible to sharpen a recurve but on every other knife I've used them on it's a plus. I'm considering taking an XXC to a local company that does water jet cutting and having one split lengthwise. I could get a 2" wide and a 1", two x 1.5" or three x 1"...each option has its advantages.

I greatly dislike the stock 120 EP stone- it dishes very quickly and has a (subjectively) crappy feel to it. I have a wide array of custom cut EP stones; my favorite Aratos for the EP are the Naniwa Chocera 400 and the Shapton Pro 320, in that order. I've found the Ohmura 150 mounted on the EP is great for following the DMTs and buffing out the scratches, and it leaves a polish much higher than you'd expect for the grit. The Chocera, Shapton Pro and Ohmuras all seem to wear longer and dish much more slowly than the stock 120. FWIW my favorite stock EP stone is the 320. Aside from being very thin it's hard to improve on that one.
