Edge Pro Scratches

That was a big part of the reason why I turned around and sold mine within a week and ordered the wicked edge.

I don't mind scratches, per se, but I'd just as soon they got there through honest use rather than being caused by a necessary maintenance operation!:barf:

I feel like the wicked edge would still have the problems of any other clamp system which is getting the blade clamped perfectly centered, and the blade being clamped with enough force to not move around during sharpening.

I don't use mine a ton but have reprofiled 6-8 knives and I have never seen a scratch on the blade and don't cover it. I also don't change out the table tape that often but might not use as much water as most?

I would also be interested in seeing the brass bullet case as I'm having a hard time picturing a round edge to cut off the tape.

I've used a lansky long enough to wear out three set of stones and have NEVER had the blade shift, the WE system should be another (several) step(s) up.
