This was done to determine which of three blades has the strongest performance in regards to cutting and edge retention on low stress materials. The blades were ; a drop point hunter from David Boye in Dendritic 440C/Cobalt, and a the Deerhunter in AUS-8A from A. G. Russel :

The Dendritic 440C blade has a clear advantage in cutting ability and edge retention mainly due to edge durability.

Other aspects of the blades performance will be commented in the main review as well as later I will benchmark it against a D2 blade.

Thanks Cliff! Very erudite. BDS is my favorite steel and it was fun to see it tested.
