all of the above! plain for edc, combo for blades over 5 inches, serrated for any made by spyderco

Edge types?...Plain for my utility folders (Spyderco Delica, Cold Steel Voyager), and fully-serrated for my defensive/offensive folders (Spyderco Police, Cold Steel Vaquero Grande).

I can't vote(need to upgrade soon), but I prefer PE for my main carry.

Now that I'm in summer carry, I have a PE 4" fixed(belt or front/right), 4" SE endura FRN/ATS-55(left/front), and PE SS Dragonfly(neck). Just added a BM Rescue Hook this week. Usually carry a CE millie in right/front, but it has to go in for warrenty work.

The SE is for food prep, as this current job doesn't have me chopping cardboard all day, and the PE works better for this job.

I don't get into the arguments about the advantages of a serrated edge for some uses. The value has been proven to my satisfaction....

I just don't like 'em.... :)

The End....

for ease of sharpening. There are times my wife's combo edge Blackout will outcut whatever I have in my pocket but not often enough to make up for what a pain it is for me to keep an edge on it.

I don't understand why you can not vote:confused:

I voted for plain edge.

In my experience;

The combo edges do nothing well, the serrations are in the best work area of a folder, that being the first 2" or so of the blade. In addition, many serrations styles bind or catch the material being cut.

The plain edge does a better all around job.:D

Now, that said, I do carry a full serration Spyderco Endura for those times that it is needed. However, it is the least used of all blade styles.:eek:.
