Although we have had a lot of interest from various professional instructors, we may have a rare luxury for you. After much wheeling and cajoling we have a tentative go ahead from a long time Strider friend and associate whom heretofore has only taught military and some limited law enforcement. Because he is still operational, it is necessary to keep his name and face under wraps, but if you are a West coast Marine Scout Sniper, you almost certainly know who this is; for the past five years he has taught the Mantracking period of instruction for every First Marine Division Scout Sniper School class (with a very few exceptions during times when he was deployed/employed overseas and could not return during the coarse).
He also teaches and has taught various courses including but not limited to; Knife Fighting, Sentry Stalking, Silent Interdiction, Mantracking, Ambush Planning and Immediate Action Drills, and Automatic Response In Extreme Stress (ARIES) courses to various Marine Scout Sniper Platoons, Special Operations Training Group (SOTG), Tactical Recovery of Aircraft Personnel teams (TRAP), multiple Recon Platoons, various members of SEAL teams Three and Five, Los Angeles Sheriffs Department Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB), LAPD officers etc.
He has the distinction of being the only known person who has multiple (6 to date) confirmed kills with a Strider Knife, multiple other confirmed Knife Kills and as such, possesses an empirical knowledge of knife combat dynamics that is, shall we say, NOT run of the mill. For our purposes we call him Mike Ajax, and he posts on the forums as SOE Training.
If we are to secure Mr. Mike as an instructor, it will be with the following stipulations and understandings:
1. Mikes livelihood is as an operator first, not an instructor. Although cameras will be welcome, NO pictures of Mikes face will be allowed. Period.
2. This is a class taught by a killer. Frankly, after participating and assisting in his military classes, we can assure you that he has very little defensive mentality. Expect to hear counter-attack a lot and defense little or none at all. You may have to adapt techniques to fit the laws in your area.
3. This is the first (and possibly only) time he has agreed to teach and open course to include US civilians. Mike is a friend, very professional, and an easygoing guy. Even when teaching Military, very few injuries are sustained but this is an extremely intense, physical class. Expect to be very fu#$ing sore! Come with a warriors mindset or dont come.
4. Because he is a good friend of Vinnie Paluccis and reportedly has not seen Vince in some time, we are told it will go a long way in convincing Mike to commit to the course if Vinnie agrees to come. Pressure him to attend, he can be found by name on this forum.
5. Liability waivers will be required.

FYI His knife of choice is the Mantrack MT.L, like the one seen in the center page of this months American Handgunner Magazine. His is easy to spot, look for the tooth attached to the lanyard loop. He also collaborated with us on the new model FE as a special purpose oriented take-out knife (not in the catalog).
And finally, remember, this is a buddy deal hook-up, and if this class goes well, he may offer more. Dont embarrass us.
