Hello all! I've been thinking about upgrading from my Apex to the Profesional model. I've been using my Apex for a year now and I know it inside out, but I have no experience with the Professional. Please give me your advice and opinions. Thanks in advance.

The Pro Model is a beefed up Apex..
It is Heavy Duty and I do prefer it..
But unless you are doing commercial sharpening the Apex should suit your needs..

I like the scissor attachment on my
Professional. It lets me clamp knives
that are difficult for me to do on
the table.

I agree with the previous posters. I have the 'Professional' model, and I feel that it works for the jobs I intend to do with it. First, I like the solid base. Then, I have lots of knives made from 154-CM, ATS-34 and S60V, and the work is sometimes intense. And then there's the problem that all knuts face who can really hone a knife--lots of 'whet challenged' friends...--OKG
