Edgepro sharpening question

Just do it as normal, and after you're done, re-do the tip section at a broader angle, and you would get an even edge.

As of right now I am having my benza sit on the "flat of the spine."

I would take that junk plastic guide off and put a strip of duct tape along the spine of the knife. This adds to stability.

Can anyone post pictures of their Sebenzas with Edge Pro Edges and what settings you guys used?

The Small Regular in the picture was done at the red setting (15) and I put it flat against the edge. You could say that the spine was raised a bit.

I really don't remember but I know I would not have picked over 20.

Hope this helps.

My camera sucks, but Ill tell you my duct tape thing. You need to keep the blade on the small flat area of the spine. Use duct tape instead of masking tape for grip, and make a roll of duct tape until it is thick enough to keep the blade even. I center the blade visually. Its hard to explain, but if you look at the total length of the blade, and find the center, then go about a 1/4 inch closer to the belly, and thats where it sits for me to sharpen.

even if you lay it flat on the edge, right at the edge of the platform, it will be fine...just increase the angle to compensate.

Well....tried it again at the 21 setting.....the end results weren't what I expected, but were better then the first attempt.

I would say that the tip is about twice the thickness as the rest of the blade. Bah.....

Either way I like how they are turning out for you. Looks cool!

I don't have a macro lens. Can you see well enough in this photo? The Large and Small Regular Sebenzas have EP bevels. So does the BAIII at the bottom, which actually has a compound bevel. The shoulder is just barely discernable. All three are consistent in bevel height along the blade.
