On our last trip which included an Alaskan cruise, we were able to participate in 3 knife shows. The last of these was Oct. 11 & 12 at the Edgerton, WI Bob Schrap knife show.
Earlier in the year is the Janesville show which is located about 12 mi from Edgerton. Edgerton is a small quaint community and the show is in the community centre. It caters to a wide cross section of the knife world including supplies, custom makers (24), displays, older knives, purveyors etc.
here are folks looking at a wide range of knife making supplies
among many purveyors, 2 notables were Gary Shaw and Paul Basch (both seated)
Both days were quite busy with lots of sales activity.
Custom knives ranged from hunters to damascus camp knives to fancy folders and swords, tomahawks and period pieces.
Michael Kanter won best fixed blade and is seen here cleaning one of his hunters
his award winner is a hunter with mammouth ivory handle
note the neat method of showing some of the knife handle when sheathed
