I payed for a fixed blade from Mr. Mozolic on May 3, 2018 and have yet to receive the knife or any actual confirmation that it has been shipped. A tracking number was sent, yet the USPS states that only a shipping label has been created and that the package has not yet entered their system.

I am NOT yet stating that anything dubious is going on, but I am growing weary and Mr. Mozolic's communication has been very vague so I am obviously concerned. Is this amount of time typical for receiving a knife from Milan? I see his knives selling frequently on the exchange here so can anyone who has purchased them help assuage my suspicions?

Thanks for any info!

Mr. Mozolic has had problems in the past https://bladeforums.com/threads/mozolic-order-problem.1495713/

If you paid via Paypal or credit card, canceling the transaction will probably lead to much better communication.

I did use Paypal and I fear you may be correct. Thank you for the link; I found it just after purchasing, when I started feeling suspicious and it seemed he was stalling. Really should have done my research before (as is constantly stated on this forum!), but I was persuaded by recent positive interactions between him and other members....and his knives are gorgeous  My mistake.

Edit: see below. FYI Milan has been quick to respond about this issue.

Update: Seems I was given an incorrect Tracking # by Milan or there was a mixup by the PO. I initiated a Paypal refund and was promptly provided with a new tracking # by him that states the knife was processed at his local postal station on June 7, 2018.

I will also say something. On my side everything is fine, but in the system I have two tracking numbers for this order. So I have to find out at the post office what's going on. Last month, I sent a bunch of knives to the US, and I feel like post office shipments are delivered as they want and not chronologically. Most knives arrived okay in good time, but some are still on the way. Maybe it has something to do with the weight of the packages, the heavy ones go longer.

I recently ordered a blade from Mr. Mozolic and can only state positive items in my experience. He shipped in a timely manner and all is well on this end. I have known others to order from him no issues. He definitely has a special talent.

Thank you for the post linuxology. It appears the problem has been figured out. I am very excited to receive a piece of his work!

I just received a knife from milan last month oversees shipping is always nerve racking tracking is spotty at best!! But my knife did arrive safe and was worth the wait

I bought a beautiful Damascus Hunter from Milan on May 27th and it finally arrived on June 16th. We live in a world of next day shipping and if Milan shipped this way he would have to double his prices. Shipping from Slovakia to the US is painfully slow but worth the wait, my knife is first one I will buy from Milan and there will be more.

Yes, sometimes it is, and sometimes not. I ship around 10 packages to the US a month, some are delivered within 7 days, some up to 14 days, and sometimes it takes longer. What I've watched is that packages up to 500g are delivered really fast. Heavy packages take longer.

Btw, by tracking, the package for ArchVV was delivered on Monday. But he has not confirmed it yet. So I hope the knife arrives in order.

I can confirm that I received the knife. It is excellent!

Thank you all for your contributions to this thread. I hate to have jumped the gun on opening feedback for Milan, but I can happily endorse the quality of his work.

BTW ArchVV ArchVV if you have issues with someone who is also a member of BF it is proper etiquette to tag them so they have additional notice of your issue and can hopefully answer it more promptly and directly. It is good to hear things worked out for all.

I was in concurrent communication with Milan via email, but that is a good suggestion.

So......as we have been waiting with You it sure is good to know You have it now.
Do you intend to upload a pic?

Here it is:

I'll have to take a few more pics with it in-hand. The proportions are really perfect and it is incredibly comfortable in several grips. The blade is also very sharp and nicely finished, especially with the contrast between the forging scars and the satin grinds.
