Editing Subject line in Trading forum.

I wanted to add another knife to pad my trade but I can't put it in the suject. I put it in my post but people who have already looked at the post don't know it. Any suggestions?
 
I'd suggest clicking the Edit button twice, or, until you have the "Reason for Editing" choice available. When the "Reason for Editing" choice is available, you can also edit the Title or Subject.

Try clicking "edit," then "go advanced." You shoud be able to modify the thread title that way.
 
It seems to work only within the first minutes after posting the thread. Your best bet would be to contact a moderator.
 
Some folks seem to be able to do this, but it never works for me. I've often tried to mark a post "sold" in the title, but have never been able to do it.

Mods ... ?? Are we supposed to have that capability?

It's a known bug -- sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. There's another way moderators can use to edit a title that always works, but you can't expect the Exchange forum moderators to do that every time somebody sells a knife....
 
Well, I've tried it more than a few times on different forums, and whenever I did it minutes after submitting the thread, it worked, always. When I tried it later, it never worked. Seems pretty clear-cut to me.
