This was ground from an Old Hickory blade and engraved with "Edmund D 9-30-88" on the "spine" between the slabs. Greenish black micarta with red spacers. Used a little to cut tape and such but never sharpened and has original edge. Does have some freckling. There is a small scuffed edge on one slab at the butt.
Funny story goes with knife. I met Edmund at the gun show in Roanoke,Va and bought a Whitetail Skinner and a big camp knife. While chatting, Edmund mentioned needing to find a hotel for the night. I offered up my spare room and in thanks, he pushed this across the table. One knife sold, one given as a gift and now Edmund just makes art that a bum like me can only dream about.
The way things are going at work, I need every penny I can get, so this one is up for sale.
