Educate me on Bark River Products

Bark River makes awesome knives. The Bravo-1 is my all time favorite "do everything" fixed-blade knife. Some folks make a big deal about the "thumb ramp", but to me, it is a non-issue. It does not get in the way, at all. The Bravo-1 is a fantastic, heavy duty knife that can cut with the best of the best.

I've got a Bravo -1 as well. I do believe it is Bark Rivers best selling knife. A great all around knife. Not going to be as good at skinning as some of theirs, but for an all around knife it is great.

I do think the Kydex that came with mine sucks though. I'd recommend one of the leather sheaths they offer with the knife.

the Bravo 1 in the middle looks really good

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on one of these shortly

Maroon Linen micarta handles - looks even better in direct sunlight too.

Keep an eye out later in the year as 3V models will be arriving as well as a Bravo1.5.

Kinda overwhelmed with all the models Bark River puts out.

Which one would be great for field dressing game?

There are many small Bark River Knives that work well for field dressing.

I really like the Woodland Special myself.

Check out the YouTube reviewer "Virtuovice".
He has some great reviews of Bark River Knives with actual footage of field dressing (or at least, removal of Backstraps and Loins) with various BRKT knives (including, Highland, Fox River, Gunny, and Bravo-1). I believe his favorite, for his style of field dressing, is the Fox River. He likes the shallow belly of the blade, and the cruved spine/drop point because it allows better clearance for lifting the backstrap off of the thorax.

Bark River is about my favorite brand in fixed blade knives these days. I don't think yiu can really go wrong with any knife they make. My favorite and most used bush knife is the Bravo 1, tell you what though, I cant wait for the Bravo 1.5!!!!

I have more then 2 BR but my favorite 2 are Bravo 1
and the Vest Bowie (or something like that) lol.

I dont own any Bark River Knives but I have never heard a single owner of Bark River Knives say anything but praise about them. If you are looking into them just pick one i highly doubt you will be disappointed with whatever knife you choose from BRKT.

I went into a bit of a BRKT frenzy last week. I bought the Mini Fox River, then the Liten Bror, then the North Star Companion, and most recently a full sized Fox River. Add that to the four other Barkies and I think I'm well on the way to a proper collection!
