My concept is that, it would be a group of strictly educational/informational bladesmithing, knifemaking and metalsmithing centered blogs informally linked together, which could grow and spread organically... Each participant would have complete administrative control over his or her own blog, content, links etc. So, eventually it would consist of interconnected circles or rings around a central theme... a knifemaking "blogsphere".

My Blog has been a tremendous tool in seeing what people are interested in and giving customers/potential customers insight into my methods and thoughts. Good idea.
 
LOL educational, how quick til it turns "spiritual" I wonder, unsubscribe, oh wait I never subscribed in the first place LOL.

Mace, how is it self promotional when he invites all makers to be involved? This attitude is the exact type of thing that has turned many makers away.

Tai, sorry for stepping in like this, I'm just getting sick and tired of reading all the attitude around here.
 
Jason, It seems goo gets special treatment around here. He made a post with a link to his page and has no paid subscription. I reported this post along with another in another thread(spam). One of the attitudes that has turned makers away is Mr. goo's I personally know almost a dozen pro. makers that wont come to this forum anymore because of it.....and I would take a single one of them over an army of goo.

Registered users aren't allowed to link to their sites. This is stated clearly in the rules.

*The only members who may promote or display their personally built knives, products, or services in the discussion threads, signature, home page listing or their user profile are "Manufacturers", "Dealers", and "Knifemaker/Craftsman/Service Provider".*

Tai Goo, I respect your skills as a craftsman, and your artistry, but I'm tired of you disrespecting both me and the membership here.

You've made your position clear, you don't want to support the community through a paid subscription. You and several others feel that you are above the rules of this site, and have thumbed your nose repeatedly; myself and the moderator staff have been more than lenient with you and tolerated your antics long enough.

You have worn out my patience. The next time you pull anything like this, it will be the last, as you've worn out your welcome. I'm sorry that it has come to this, but the community does not exist to cater to you and your personality alone.
