It was a mil overrun. The logo was assigned to signify something with the specific unit for whom it was destined. Jerry et al never releases details about the units for the sake of privacy.

A couple of other examples include the ST56 and A2T.
I'm sure there were others but those are the two that come to mind.

They are sweet! You'll like it. A very robust blade for it's size. (Years ago I would have fell out of my seat at suggesting this was anything but a big knife... My, how my horizons have broadened. )
