Ek blade and sheath, Richmond, VA vintage
I picked this up long ago, it was in a bit of a rough shape so I took my time and polished the flats and bevels to where you see it now and it came out quite nice. I have not sharpened it and the blade shows no evidence as to having been sharpened since it left the factory. This was likely paracord-wrapped when new and may have had shoulders on it at one time to accommodate a guard, but it looks like someone removed them, perhaps to duplicate the original World War II-pattern knife. The logo is faint, but the Richmond, Virginia origin is visible.
If you happen to have some nice wood laying around, this will make a great wintertime project, perhaps you could even duplicate the original by enlarging the holes and using poured lead for rivets…
Priced for a quick sale at $100, shipped. PayPal, friends and family please. I will ship it with USPS priority mail.
Thank you.
