Has this or did this happen to any one else with drops? How can you receive a confirmation then get it taken away. We wait and work around the drop time and end of wasting our time. Is it acceptable to say that their system had a glitch, therefore I wasn't one of the lucky ones to get a knife? How do we know that they don't pick and choose customers? Did this happen to any one else?

disappointing, but things can go wrong. I don't see why theyd hand pick people to get and ones to dump.
if it oversold and that was the glitch, I'd think they would count up to the first folks who bought to where they ran out of inventory availability and then send the notice out to the rest.
they are in business to sell knives and keep customers. I'm sure they aren't happy what happened either. no one wants to upset customers and run them off.......

Yes, thank you for responding and I do understand. Just frustrating that I've been waiting for the drop and got excited once I got the confirmation email then got it taken back. Hard to keep everyone happy but if your system cant handle it then maybe do a lotto?

They can hold back few knives in case of loss or warranty but that turns into a financial loss if they hold for too long and in this case it sounds like it wouldn't have been enough to save the day.
I'd ask them to create a re-order, count up how many folks lost out and give them exclusive access when in stock. The only wrinkle in that is how long it could take for the maker to fill the order.

Definitely disappointing, but at least they were honest and up front about it. I don’t think there was any funny business going on - they’re usually very good to deal with, so I’d tend to take them at their word. I hope you find what you're looking for soon.
