Electric etching of chrome plated brass?

Any tricks in electric etching of chrome plated brass? My son wants his Zippo done with my logo.

Just use hydrochloric acid-it will eat through the chrome to brass.
Don't know about electro etching.

Use ac only and it will only mark it with a surface mark
