These are the tools that I didn't end up selling at the NEB Spring meet last weekend, so I'm putting them up here for people who are interested. They're both rather heavy, so if you wanted them shipped it would likely be around 50$ or so for shipping, or you can pick them up at my house in Woonsocket RI, very close to routes 146, 295 and 495

First up is a propane forge, 12 inches long, 8 inch around, just attach a propane hose + regulator and a blower and you're good to go. (Might want to stack some firebricks behind it to close the back too)

SOLD!

Next is an electric heat treating oven. This is an old one, but a good one, it's muffled, which means that the element is not exposed on the inside, increasing element life, and safety. It runs off 110, and has an analog temp gague. It is 11" long inside, so on the small side, but still quite usable. The only problem with it is that the end of the cast handle for the door is broken. When i was using it, i just put a welder's vice clamp on the end for the handle and called it a day.

$150

I do accept paypal.

I've only ever heat treated blades around 1500ish in it, fine for carbon steel. in theory it could go to 1900, but being 110v / 11a that would take a very very long time.

Dibs on the oven then, I have to run out for the night. Justin I'll PM you later on tonight (like after 12AM) with some questions. I just don't have the time at the moment, if You have to dump it quick then I understand.

Interested in the oven. It is 11" long, how tall and wide? Do you think the element would survive shipping?

It's 3 inches high, 4 inches wide.

To be honest I don't know about how the element would survive shipping. Elements do become more brittle with use and even if there's a fragile label slapped on the side of the box, it might get jostled too much, then again, it might not and could arrive just fine. Being a muffled oven helps in that the element wont bounce around as much, but I honestly cant make any guarantee.

I buy my replacement elements at budget casting supply http://www.budgetcastingsupply.com/Heating-Elements.php

If the element didn't survive

The element you would want to replace in-place is the #7101 Kanthal Heater Element, 120 Vac, 1550 W, 2300 °F Max $28
