Electrically Stupid... Motor wiring, again

Judging by this wiring diagram for 115V and lets say for simplicity's sake that I'm connecting it to a 12/3 cord...

I would connect motor yellow/black to cord black

connect motor black, white and yellow to cord white

and twist and tape together the blue and gray

and twist and tape together the Red, Brown and Orange

edited to add: cord green to chassis of motor...

Does this sound right?

Yes, that is correct


I suggest you use wire nuts and tape, not just twist and tape.

Swap out red and black to reverse rotation
