CPM154 blade, full flat grind with a slight convex edge. 600 grit hand satin finish.
416 fittings selectively acid etched and mirror polished.
African Blackwood handle with Mother of Pearl inlay
15 1/2 inches over all, 10 1/2 inch blade.

Very fine work. Looks a little like the eagle head bowie seen in the painting of Jim Bowie, just the overall flow of the lines. I think I just carried it to that conclusion as I can only see the eagle head of the Bowie in the portrait by George Peter Healy.

Thanks John, appreciate your interest. Short answer is no.

I displayed at Blade in Atlanta in 99 and gratefully had enough sales to cover my costs. Meeting a heap of very well known US makers was the cherry on top. A truly memorable experience but in the end not financially viable as a regular gig. If I was inclined to do an International Show it would more likely be one somewhere in Europe.
