I’ve definitely given it some thought. I don’t know if I have the patience to follow through with it though. Maybe if I did it in stages over the course of a few days.

It’s one that has to be held, I’d gladly send mine to someone that’s on the fence about this model.

That's one heck of an edge. John had a "Kane" model in his shop when I was there for the first knife making class. It is absolutely a beautiful blade shape and a fantastic feeling knife in the hand.
 
I keep thinking about an Element EDC with the standard 1" tall handle size, but with the blade reduced to 3/4" tall, and a very slight drop to the blade, out of 1/16" 440C. That might be a nice small game/paring knife. I think I'll have to make one!
