I call this my Elephant Bowie trying to relate a big strong blade to a big strong animal. In the beginning of this project I thought this resin cast Elephant display deserved a large Bowie with a real thick blade and some really tuff hard steel. So my friend Alan Warren came up with this blade for me and I think the relationship came out to be a excellent match. With my scrimshaw I tried to make it look like a reflection but that is really hard to do looking around a corner so I just scrimshawed the three Elephant heads with all three looking one way.The sheath that fits the Bowie perfect was done by my friend Ken Warick and I think for being his first sheath it is a fantastic job. I had him inlay the really beautiful piece of fossil Walrus then I scrimshawed the Elephants head. Hope you all like it. Anyway the knife specs are below.

Knife OAL; 13 1/2 inches
Blade; CPM 3V Hollow ground and flats hand sanded to 800 grit. 59-60RC and .250 on the thickness. Sharp like a razor
Handle; Fossil Walrus ivory with my scrimshaw. The guard is Extruded Acrylic hand carved and file worked at the handle.
Sheath; The sheath is all hand stitched 8 oz leather with a piece of fossil Walrus ivory inlaid and my scrimshaw of the Elephants head

Asking $1850.00 SOLD which includes free shipping in the USA via USPS Priority Mail.Payment by USPS Money order or personal check. I will take paypal also if the buyer wants to pay the fees.

Thanks to all for taking a look and any and all comments are greatly appreciated.

This might be the first time I've seen a knife listed at over $1500 that seemed like it was actually worth the money.

Of the Higher end knives that I have seen posted here I believe that this is on the short list of being the nicest one I've seen. If I played at this level I would take this off your hands; simply astounding!

Thanks a bunch to all three of you for the kind words. And Matt I have been a fan of your knives for a long time. Your San Mai is beautiful. Thanks again.

Ray: Wonderful scrimshaw work and a great knife by one of my favorite makers, Alan Warren. My compliments to you both.
