I call this my Elephant Bowie trying to relate a big strong blade to a big strong animal. In the beginning of this project I thought this resin cast Elephant display deserved a large Bowie with a real thick blade and some really tuff hard steel. So my friend Alan Warren came up with this blade for me and I think the relationship is a pretty good match. With my scrimshaw I tried to make it look like a reflection but that is really hard to do looking around a corner so I just scrimshawed the three Elephant heads with all three looking one way. Someone might like it
Anyway the knife specs are below.
Knife OAL; 13 1/2 inches
Blade; CPM 3V Hollow ground and flats hand sanded to 800 grit. 59-60RC and .250 on the thickness. Sharp like a razor
Handle; Fossil Walrus ivory with my scrimshaw. The guard is Extruded Acrylic hand carved and file worked at the handle.
Sheath; The knife will come with a black hand stitched sheath built by my friend Ken Warick with inlaid fossil Walrus ivory and Elephant scrimshaw on it.
Asking $1850.00 which includes free shipping in the USA via USPS Priority Mail.Payment by USPS Money order or personal check. I will take paypal also if the buyer wants to pay the fees.
Thanks to all for taking a look and Happy Holidays to all.
