Has any one used this material for a hidden tang knife as I am hunting for a material suitable that will give an ivory look. White paper base micarta has pores and can pic up rouge in the pores when polishing and can be black from the buffing if there are pins in the handle. So I am hunting for an alternative that won't. Here is a link to this stuff.

We have 1.0" thick Tan G10 blocks in stock.

I ordered this color/thickness combination specifically for knifemakers looking for a synthetic ivory substitute.

Ivory (paper) Micarta can be cleaned up with a paste of dishwashing detergent and baking soda. Scrub it in with your fingers & rinse well in water.
Wax when finished.
White linen Micarta is pretty useless.

Dan, the folks who make those very expensive Nesmuk brand kitchen knives in Germany are using the black faux buffalo horn version of the sister product of Elforyrn, Juma. in their on some of their "lower" priced knives. With that said, Joe from Cue Components in Daytona Beach said that he stopped carrying the grained version of Elforyn due to some complaints from customers about the quality of the product. YMMV.
