Has anyone had issues with Eli on false promises on shipping completed sheaths?

Any feed back would be wonderful.

Thanks :thumbdn::mad::thumbdn:

Got a sheath from him last week. Shipping was a little slow but I think he had to build it.

Welcome to Bladeforums!

Whatever problem you had, you should post details. Also, when you open a complaint about someone, let them know so they can come here to respond.

I moved this to the FEEDBACK forum.

ThatGuy(mm: Welcome to bladeforums, this is a great knife forum with some good people!

This thread was just brought to my attention so I thought I'd reply to it. If you received your sheath later than promised I sincerely apologize and accept full responsibility for my mistake.... more importantly if you have not received your sheath let me know by email (who you are/order etc.) and I'll make sure that you're taken care of right away!

To be honest I'm bad with estimating timing sometimes and this has especially bitten me with "custom knives"... three sheaths in the trash can later I've got it right but I'm past the promised time, etc. and I've also quoted "two weeks" to potential clients only to receive a knife from every one of them and then I've got a pile of custom orders so to remedy this I've recently stopped taking in "custom knives" of any kind to keep this from happening.

Again, my apologies and send me an email if I've still got your sheath/order.

Sincerely,

Eli

email:
godspeedtactical@gmail.com You'll receive an automated email saying that the site is closed down while I'm catching up on orders but I'll still get the email and reply to it.

Everything I have read about this guy has been very positive. I am a custom sheath maker as well and it is tough to estimate completion times. Life happens sometimes. Also, see how quickly he responded here. That seems like a stand up guy to me!!

+1 for Eli. He made me a sheath and communicated very well. Good dude. I see no reason to create a post unless there was a serious grievance. If you are in a hurry then let the maker know when and why you need it. I am not seeing that level of communication documented here. If it is warranted the so be it. My experience leads me to believe otherwise.

gunfixrjoe/RWT: Thanks guys!

There's a little of both here and the lack of communication is my fault, this sheath definitely took longer than I quoted/expected and I wish I'd taken a picture of it to show what I mean... but again my responsibility. I shipped the sheath and his knife back to him last Monday but when I tried to generate a shipping label online it wouldn't accept his address so I walked it into the Post Office and did it the old fashioned way... which means he didn't get an automated email with tracking information.

At that point I should've emailed a tracking number to him to let him know it was on it's way and I completely overlooked it. On top of this I didn't take pictures or even bill him for the work because I was in a rush to get the sheath back to him so as of yesterday he didn't even know I had sent it back.... and here's where it gets tricky.... I sent it to the address in our email/comm's and that's a work address where he's not at so it's being forwarded. Again as of yesterday he didn't know it was being forwarded and not being charged for the work it certainly would seem that I still had the sheath and his knife.

I found all of this out yesterday after seeing his follow-up post and sending him a text with the tracking information.

ThatGuy(mm: I want to thank you once again for your patience with me in getting your sheath done and also apologize for the lack of communication on my part. As I noted in my second text I included a free fire steel and KaBar TDI Clip and then I cut your bill in half to make up for it.... let me know if I can do anything else for you. I feel bad now knowing that you never received your knife and sheath... I just figured you already had it by Thursday or so. Let me know when it arrives.

Have a great day!,

Eli

It's ok Eli

Dick! In Braille of course

Hi, and welcome to the forums.

I don't know exactly what it is you are trying to say here but it doesn't look very good. You joined up to bumped a 2 year old thread about a banned service provider and added absolutely nothing. Perhaps you would like to explain what it is exactly that you are doing.

So let's just say this again. Eli, Godspeedtactical, has been banned from bladeforums.com for some time now because he was screwing members over by not delivering paid for products and for a complete lack of communication and an abundance of excuses. There are plenty of other honest kydex people to deal with on here for anyone to defend or even consider dealing with Eli ever again.

I had Eli build me a sheath for an Ontario Kukri. It took a while. He's busy and you need to be patient. The wait was well worth it. First class quality in both utility and craftsmanship.
