Eliminating a choil from a Boker Plus Titan Drop folder

Pretty much what he said.

Epoxies like JB Weld won't stay put on the blade. TRUE
Welding will ruin the temper of the blade. TRUE

If you are worried about snagging on the edge of the choil, use a file to smooth the edge.
Other than that, you are going to have to go out and buy a new knife.

All truths & an excellent suggestion. I did the same thing to the choil on my ESEE RC-4 (filed & shaped it to my liking). I think the OP could send it to Charlie Mike for the full CM spa treatment. It won't feel like the same old knife - ever! :D

I think that is a fantastic suggestion. Charlie Mike will make it seem like a new knife indeed.

hhmmm i guess the op was an easy prey, no disrespect but the whole epoxy thing was kinda funny even before he took the welding thing seriously. :D:rolleyes:

anyway if you don't want to sharpen the choil, i heard of a file that can put metal back ... you should look this way just search the one for 440c, i've only seen the S90V one and it aint cheap.

sorry .... :p
