I bought one of Eliot's knives off the exchange second hand. My curious nature of wanting to tinker with things just turned a good knife into parts. I broke the pivot by over tightening it while trying to center the blade. I've also lost the original pocket clip, so I installed a new clip that was just an abomination. I contacted Eliot regarding some repairs. I initially just inquired about the pivot since it impedes function. After I told him that it is one of his, he asked me to send the knife in to him. He repaired the pivot and sculpted a brand new carbon fiber clip for my knife free of charge. I feel terrible that Eliot refused payment, since all of the damages is caused by my stupidity. So at least, I want you guys to know that Eliot's customer service is just superb and his work is incredible! A great maker who deserves to be noticed.
