Allen and I have been working on this for almost a year!

Now after all this time, we put the proto together this weekend here at my shop. Still have to heat treat and grind the blade.

I am the younger, better looking one that has ended up doing a lot of the heavy lifting.....

Nice , great choice going with the tip up / down option bud.

So was that Elishewitz guy getting the shakes from being in a non sterile environment ? ;)

Cool. Is that added-in section of the lock a travel limiter?

Thanks Devin, Hope you're well!

Very nice!

Thank you!

love your work

Thank you!

No, it's a stainless steel lock bar insert that gives gives us the benefits of a replaceable stainless lock face and the benefits of a titanium lock bar. This one is held together with 4 stainless steel pins that we peened in place, we haven't decided who we will to the rest of them, screws or pins.

These are technically midtechs, but they have a lot of hand work in the handles and hand ground blades. We will do them in limited, small batches that will have some varied features and finishes.

Good looking knife Les. Congrats on the collaboration, bet it is a winner.

Hope you didn't hurt your thumb on my FM 1 :D

Nice to see you two finaly get something done :-)

Did Allen make you clean the shop before he entered?

Looks great guys!

That is just too cool.. I Hope someday to be able to make something like that. You guys are some of the best at this stuff.

Cool collaboration:cool::thumbup::thumbup:
How many do I have to buy so you guys can afford some respirators.:p

HOLY SCALLOPS! Can you elaborate on the purpose of having 4 scooped out area on the lock?
Beautiful knife though. You guys ought to make a midtech version.
thanks.

Thank you all for your kind words! :D

He did OK considering... ;) He did mention that my shop was a lot cleaner than he thought it would be. Not sure if that's a good thing though....

Why do all you guys thing my shop is not as clean as his? Oh yeah, you can see it.... :o

14 ;):p

If the titanium was not thinned out in a spot then you would no be able to operate the lock bar. No way most would be able to disengage a lock that is .160 (5/32 +) with your mortal thumb!

He he he... All this talk about clean shop; I only vomited once in my mouth
This is going to be a cool project. We'll post more pictures of the WIP as we go along. So far this project has been straight down the middle between Les and I; each one of us has had equal share in the direction of how it has shaped up. Les is right, there is a lot more handwork on these knives than you imagine and you'll see during the WIP.

Allen i thought maybe you lost you mind and went tribal or soem thing

i get to get my shop even half way as clean ans well set up as you one of these days
