Less & Allen, nice look to that knife. Thanks for sharing the WIP. Looking forward to seeing/handling finished pieces.

Gentlemen - looks like you've got a winner with this one. Nice work and please put me down for one !!!

Ok we are in motion again!

This is the almost complete prototype. All that remains is marking and sharpening.

There will be a couple differences of note in the final version, that we are gonna keep a surprise for just a little more. ;)

Till then here are more pics! Thanks for looking!

in progress today....

A little over a month ago I went down to Les' place to work on this prototype. We had to make this prototype and figure out the logistics of our midtech project. After several weeks of hard work, Les and I are working on the midtechs and can show the WIP. It is going to show that there is a lot of hand work involved. In this set of photos I am drilling and counter boring the G-10 handles; also drilling and counter boring one of the titanium frames for the screws. The spacer needed to be drilled for the screws as well.

Now to layout all the frames and go over each one, looking for missed bead blast spots, new handling marks or any other foolishness and go back and re bead blast all that stuff...

This time stonewashed titanium, and blade grinds with satin finished flats for a nice 2 tone effect. They came out pretty cool, I think! :)

Makes me want to make some more flippers!
