Elk 301 WITHOUT hoofprints?

Were any elk 301's produced WITHOUT the hoofprints?

Yes, keep the hoof prints for the box. That would have been more appropriate, I think.

If they would have put the hoof prints on the blade via pad print, I would have bought one also. That way if the hoof prints bothered me I could just polish them off.

The hoof prints were precisely why I didn't buy one. One the box or as John suggests would have been fine. I just didn't like the looks of it. See I'm talking poorly of someones artistic effort...shame on me.

So CJ, give us some nicely matched elk scale and I'm in.

I'm with the rest of you, didn't like the prints either.

There may have been some though, I have a cherry "chairman's line" 300 without the signature on the scale. Love it! Since the only thing I didn't like about the line was the signature on it. It's a FB, but I love it!

i put that one in and out of my cart so many times questioning if i'd get past the hoofprints. finally passed but if not for the prints one would be mine now
