VERY Nice! How do you seal the antler where you've ground into the "grain"? Does it stay water/stain proof?

You asked the same question about another antler handle knife I posted and I apologize for not responding before it sold. Elk antler can sometimes be too porous for a good handle and like you pointed out, shaping the handle cuts into the pith. With this knife the tang goes all the way through the antler and is threaded to the butt cap. The entire core is filled with epoxi. If any of the pores do not get filled, I follow up with super glue so the grain does not pick up buffing compound as I finish the handle. This is a very strong handle and will not pick up water or gore from dressing game animals. ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED (as are all of my knifes).

Very nice! I like the style and I like making hunting knives. You nailed that one, someone would be proud and confident to carry that in the field or display in a case as well.
Great job!

Gerry says "Thank you so much for your business!" He is out of town until Th evening and asked me to respond to you. His paypal account is

He can get the knife out to you Friday morning!
Thanks again,
The wife

That may be the prettiest I've seen you make Gerry. Very good work.

I can't wait to get it, I hit the big "40" in 2 weeks, and have been looking for that "Happy Birthday to me" knife for a few weeks and have wanted one of GL's knives for sometime also.

When I saw that one I couldn't resist!

I think you can make a couple more of those for the BF Crew, I just about bought it the first time I saw it.

Honestly that's a great looks knife, an elk handle doesn't get any better than that IMO :)

You won't be unhappy. My 3 finger skinner by Mr Drew is a prised posession.

Your preaching to the choir.:D
I bought one of Drew's 3 Finger Skinners as a 40th birthday gift (2-6-67) from my wife to me.

Great knife and it hasn't left my side since I got it.

I got the knfie this morning, WOW!

Amazing workmanship, the fit and finish are tops and the blade is scary sharp.

Knife and sheath both are great!

Thanks for the review now you got the knife. I thought it would be that way. I have one of GL's knives, I don't think it will be last one I buy.

I like that one allot myself, might have to talk to Gerry about making a similar one if the materials are available. Let me know Gerry?
