The blade is about 5/32". The tang runs through the brass and it is inset into the blade in front of the guard. Everything is sealed with JB Weld. Hey Mike, thanks.

Hey Mike,
It's workin' real well. I've been at it every evening and it's coming around. Most important thing is all the help I've gotten in learning. Next best thing is doing a lot of it.
