HToad, the stove is a Kifaru, its the large stove. As for fuel, mainly just little stuff that can be broken or stomped into size. I however did cheat since I knew it was going to snow alot before going and car camping, I did use some of the kindling from Lowes or whatnot. Just like your camping firewood bundles but alot smaller. You can see some of it in the shot with the sleeping bag. I however did harvest a good amount a little wood as well and just dried it out under the stove between uses. Usually one good hot stove will dry one bunch of wood. As for time.. usually 15-30 minutes. They are not air tight stoves so they need fuel a lot longer, but the weight and packability of them are the amazing parts. Thinking about it, I owe DJ a call at Tigoat for a 8man (104") stove pipe for the med stove, and a sawtooth size for small stove I own, that way I can downsize what is really needed.
If I were to hump the gear in this year, I would have really taken the sawtooth shelter with Med stove. This little combo is VERY easy for one to carry in, still roomy enough for 2 people, and I can still stand in it (so be it touching the front pole).
Everyone else, thank you for the support and words mentioned by all of you. Its really a great time to get out and experience the great outdoors even when snowing, it just means it is not a busy! Anyone else going on the hunts soon, take care, shoot straight and enjoy your time while being safe out there.
