This elk antler was stabilized in my shop with a mix of linseed oil and Polyurethane. This has given the handle a nice warm looking patina.

1/8 inch ATS34
Heat treated to Rc 58-60
Mirror finish
Cocobolo spacer
Hollow ground
Elk antler handle
Overall Length: 9 inches (Does not include the lanyard button)
Blade: 4 1/4 inches
Hand Sewn leather scabbard

$155 delivered to the US or Canada. My PayPal account is gldrewknives@yahoo.com Checks with time to clear and USPS money orders are fine too.

Good looking hunter Gerry. I'v been looking for a warm finish for my handles. Could I use your recipe?

Well Mike, it involves a mason jar, a vacuum pump and some rubber tubing. (A customer came to my shop one time and thought I was cooking moonshine.) I will need to send you an e-mail and photos for this because it is so high tech.

Wish I could own more of your knives :) MMM good, got my knife nut blood flowing

I have one of GL's knives that is very, very similar to this one. He does really

nice work. Clean, functional knives with a great finish. And the sheaths are first

class also.

That is one of the best elk handles I have ever seen. You do absolutely great work.

Hey Gerry, I have the gear, just wondered what the ratio of poly to linseed oil is. Two Deer on Sat. Great hunting! This knife should be gone. It's very close to that knife you made me 15 or 20 years ago. I used it this weekend and still a great knife!

You are making me feel old here Mike. E-mail on the way with my crude ration of linseed oil to poly.

Anyone want this knife for $155? I am going to the Barker show next week and will sell it there if not.
