Elk Ridge Knives and 440C?

I don't know what steel they use, but they're like the rough rider of fixed blades.
The fit and finish is pretty good, and so are their looks. ( I have one and I like it )
I think they'd be a great semi first hunting knife for a kid, what I mean by that is a nice looking knife that you can give a kid who won't actually need to use it but he'll feel like one of the guys.
And if it gets lost it'll be no big deal because you'll already have his real first hunting knife ( possibly a sentimental hand me down ) waiting for him when he's old enough.
Plus I'm a fan of using knives at the dinner table because they make for a really manly steak knife.
