Ellis 6-HT Forge Vs. Chileforge Tabasco

I have no experiences with either, and so I think I will defer to others. Good luck in all your endeavors.

MKP - I have used a friend's Tabasco's and I have its bigger brother, the Habenero. The Tab is all you'll need in a forge unless you want to start heat treating really long blades. The forge is sturdy and well built. Its runs very efficiently especially with the new generation burners, and can get hot as blazes. Its taken me quite a while to dial in and maintain heat treat temps with just a simple ventury system, but you'll have an easier time with only the one burner and smaller chamber. My issue was getting the forge to run cool enough to heat treat!!
You will also want/need a way to install a thermocouple probe and a muffle tube for heat treating.

I know nothing of your other forge option other than they look to be quite well designed and built.

Good luck!

Talk to Wayne at hightemptools.com and ask for a 1/2" burner that will fit the Atlas. He makes one but it isn't listed on the site yet. We were forging hawks with an Atlas last weekend, so you just need a bigger burner.
