Hey Guys,
Well, I was finally able to get my new Darren Ellis HT-8 Forge fired up....the ice finally receded from my forge-area floor (driveway).
It's a really nice forge for bladesmithing, not like the farrier's forge that I was used to using.
Heats up fast and hot! Comes with a nice regulator, a quick disconnect for the propane hose, and two valves. Nice "ornamental handle" up top for portability.
Another neat thing is the adjustable blade rack that adjusts both up and down, and in and out, to rest the blade on.
My forge has the Venturi burner option; I ran this thing cranking at 20 lbs. to first heat up my work (A2...yeah, I know....don't start.
) , then turned it down to around 5 lbs. to finish it off.
I am extremely pleased with this forge.
