is darren ellis out of town. i ordered a bunch of stuff about a week ago and have not heard anything.
 
I seem to be having trouble reaching them as well - multiple emails and a few phone calls un-answered.

I know they have been thru ALOT this past year - maybe they are still dealing with the aftermath.

It takes awhile for the orders to be processed. They work only on Monday or Tuesday now.

It can be frustrating waiting, I know but I still deal with Darren and Kathryn because they have done quite abit getting hard to find materials for the small, part time and hobbyist knifemakers like ourselves. As long as they are in business, I will support them.

I recently had a package from them delivered to my apartment building which was promptly stolen. I wish I could see the look on the stinkin' theives faces when they open the box expecting a nice, custom knife only to find sand and mud!!!!
 
their site says they are on vacation till august 13th

when i placed my order the site did not say that. and i placed my order on tue the 22nd and have not heard a peep from them. im needing to cancle my order now as i cant wate and need the money. but how, i used paypal.
 
I placed an order on 7-11. Got an email confirmation of payment, but no goods yet.
 
I requested a refund throu paypal this morning and just noticed that it went through. Thanks darren ellis
 
JT, your order was boxed and ready to go to Fedex today. You requested a refund due to your impatience, which I want no part of...so I refunded your money. We've shipped over 1200 orders this month, so there is a line to wait in....this isn't Amazon.com with a hundred employees working in the shipping department, it's just me shipping, packing, building forges, building burners, making burner flares, sweeping the shop, etc...you get the idea...when we have a huge influx of orders during our busy season, things get a little slower, it's just the nature of how many hours there are in a day. You asked in your order that I bump you to the head of the line, but that is not fair to my other customers. I'm sorry you waited until the last minute to put your order for stuff in, but poor planning is not my fault. It states on my website that if you select priority overnight shipping, your order will get priority handling...I assume if you order it that way, you need it the next day and I make every effort to get that done. You just selected regular shipping.

Finally, requesting a refund takes more time for me away from getting stuff done for others, our younger generation seems to believe in instant gratification more than anything these days, I'm literally seeing more and more of this type of thing.

Finally, all orders that are in by the date specified on our website are shipping before we head out of town, with the exception of anything that is on backorder.

Well, we're off to the beach, just 50 more packages to box up and ship...

Darren, you can take your time on my order. I heat treated for the last two days, and won't need the new oil for a couple of weeks yet. Just go and enjoy the beach. Thanks, Wick Ellerbe.
 
I am very sorry, i did not know that it was packed up as i had not heard anything so i thought that nothing had happend with it yet. i am very sorry agen and next time will be patiencent:o
