Check out the video to see all the movement in the wood. The video is taken under a bright halogen light so it shows more contrast than you would see in a normal room but it's what it looks like when you look at it in the sun.
Here's a design I've been working on for a while. I wanted a hunter style that would be versatile enough to work for anything from squirrels to whitetail. I made it a little pointier since I usually skin my deer pretty warm so I don't need a big belly for skinning. The sharper tip is good for joint work and smaller animals. It works pretty good on fish too, but it's a little thick. Haven't gotten any birds since I've made this design but it should work really well on them.

btw: there's a couple of extra stitch holes on the front of the sheath that didn't get used. They're not very noticeable (I didn't even see them when I was stitching the sheath, which is why they are unused) but I wanted to point them out in case it wasn't obvious from the pictures.
