I just finished up this Prototype 6" fighter. It is a longer version of my Scout, with a double edge. The blade is Elmax and I gave it a nice stonewashed finish. The handle is carbon fiber with red liners, carbon fiber pins and a copper tube. The tang is tapered and it balances right at the guard. It weighs in at 8.8oz. and is very fast in hand. The top edge is sharpened.

It is marked prototype on the reverse side of the blade.

The sheath is heavy duty leather that I hand stitched with 150# kevlar thread. It is designed for IWB carry.

Here are the specs

OAL - 11"
Blade - 6"
Steel - .220" Elmax Heat treated in my digitally controlled kiln and LN Cryo treated for maximum performance
Handle - Carbon fiber w/ red G10 liners
Pins - Carbon Fiber and a copper lanyard tube
Features - tapered tang and marked Prototype on reverse side
Sheath - Heavy duty veg tan leather hand stitched with 150# kevlar thread, IWB carry
Price - $570 shipped 3 day Priority mail
Paypal or Postal money order

Thanks for looking!!!

Very nice, Ben. Subtle color pops pull it together and the lines are great. Looks like a joy to use!

Ben,

Flawless as ever, I like the little copper skull as a touch of class in your photo. That knife is got straight forward, no no nonsense, I mean what I say and say what I mean all over it!

Question, when you are stitching up your leather goods, are you using an awl and sail makers palm? Or a class three sewing machine, I wonder?

Thanks.

I actually use my drill press for making the holes before I hand stitch them.
