I would love to have an Elmax PM2. But only have s30v right now. But other knives in Elmax perform great. I also love s35vn, but have no 110v. So those two will be on my list for pm2's. As much as I like my pm2, I only have the one right now because I keep buying other Spyder models. Got to try them all. [emoji41]

Beautiful knife you have there. Great to hear about the fit and finish on the Elmax version vs. other versions - it's not the first time I've heard that. Mine arrives tomorrow and I'm pretty stoked..Out of the 5 pm2s I have , the Elmax is my favorite! Best lock up, action and fit and finish. Also the steel is totally solid.

I don't like to jump onto every sprint run that comes around. I packed the standard S30V model for a few years and then finally decided about a year ago to grab the Elmax version. When it comes to the balance of Corrosion Resistance, Wear Resistance, and Toughness, I think it's generally safe to say that you can find a steel that's okay at all 3 or good at 2. I personally want my tools to last and resist breaking and I have no problem with resharpening at home when I need to. I prioritize Toughness and Corrosion Resistance in a pocket knife, so Elmax made sense. I'm also a pretty big fan of OD and Sage Green colorations so that didn't hurt at all either.
I wouldn't mind having an XHP model as well but I doubt that I would carry it as much because I'm not a fan of bright colors on EDC gear. If I grab an XHP sprint before they're gone I'll likely buy some custom scales for it so that it's not as loud. Just personal preference.
