hi im wondering if dried hard elmers glue would keep the areas under it from being discolored by vineger

i would like to put a nice dark patina everywhere but the hamon line on my tanto. i love the hamon's activity but i love having a dark patina and im not good enough at polishing to have best of both worlds

would elmers glue work to keep the hamon line protected from vineger formed patina?

I like the "Red She Said", shade better than clear. That way I can wear it when going out.
Or you could use plain old Vaseline ( on the blade), as a masking agent.
