I was recently in need of a nice entry-level hunter as a gift. What I was looking for was a good custom "user" at a reasonable price. What I found at Circle-P knives ( www.circlepknives.com ) was a very nice 3.5-inch drop point hunter.

The maker is Eric Elson of London Ontario Canada ( ericelson@hotmail.com ).

The knife has very nicely done Water Buffalo Horn handles over 1/8" stock O-1 flat ground steel, mosaic pins, file-worked spine, and a leather pouch sheath. Also included were a COA / spec sheet, and a sheet on knife care. His normal price for this is $50! A very nice knife, and one of the best values I have found in quite a while.

Drop him a line, and check out some of this other work at Circle-P.

Thanks,

Yep, Eric's work is very good and will only get better, since he's just starting college this fall. He's a super nice guy as well. Right now he's beginning to create my first true custom, a utility/tactical fixed blade, my design with his input. Not sure how long it will take, but I'll post a pic, or get someone else to.

Great review ! Thanks. Yes Eric does nice work and it is very inexpensive, do not equate that with cheap! I have had no complaints from any of my customers who have purchased his work. And yes I agree it will only get better.

I know Eric, talk to him with ICQ.
He is a great guy, always full of idea's, and definatly going places.

He has inspired me to get out and get grinding on many an occasion.

And with his reasonable, more than actually, prices, I expect to get one of his fine blades sometime soon.

He's a cool guy.

(Ok eric, you promised me a Photon for all this so pay up bud!! ;) Just kidding..I am doing this outta...kindness...yeah thats it kindness...)
