Good day to you all, children of Gaia :)
I always wanted to make a knife with a more gentle, elvish appearance, but unfortunately didn't have the skills to decorate it accordingly, until now. I was lucky enough to find this unbelievable gentleman at devianart, who makes extraordinary floral and other miniature sculptures/amulets, so I stalked him and persuaded for a coproduction. And now I can happily present you the result. :D

It is a small damascus knife, with a blade hand forged by me of 5160 and L6. It has 240 layers.
The full length is 21 cm, the blade is 10.5 cm long, 32 mm wide and 3.5 mm thick.
The handle is copper and buffalo horn with Manuroartist's outstanding ornamentation.
Hope you guys like it as much as I do :)

You can find Manuro and his beautiful works here: http://manuroartis.deviantart.com/

It is 380 usd ;)

I know what you mean ;) Thank you, Sir!

The whole thing is so organic looking, it's easy to believe elves could have made it. It's beyond words.

My Elf (Alfredo) has some questions for you:
what species(or common name) of wood please ?
has it been stabilized ?
when used for hunting there will be blood fat and general offal on the blade and handle. It will need to be scrubbed with a stiff nylon brush in warm soapy water. Might this cause the handle to crack ?
where is it's overcoat ? (elf for "sheath")
Is the blade a real slicer and sharp as an elf with a laser ?
Alfredo thanks you.

Good day,

Yes it is shaving sharp ;)
There is no wood in its construction! The handle is made out of one solid piece of buffalo horn, so it is waterproof and will not develop cracks.
The sheath will be made after your taste in 1-2 days, if you would like to have the knife. It could be made of black or brown thick cowhide, with or without decoration. Please check out my site for reference, the sheaths presented there are all made by me ;)
