Good day to you all, children of Gaia :)
I always wanted to make a knife with a more gentle, elvish appearance, but unfortunately didn't have the skills to decorate it accordingly, until now. I was lucky enough to find this unbelievable gentleman at devianart, who makes extraordinary floral and other miniature sculptures/amulets, so I stalked him and persuaded for a coproduction. And now I can happily present you the result. :D

It is a small damascus knife, with a blade hand forged by me of 5160 and L6. It has 240 layers.
The full length is 21 cm, the blade is 10.5 cm long, 32 mm wide and 3.5 mm thick.
The handle is copper and buffalo horn with Manuroartist's outstanding ornamentation.
It's sheath is hand sewn from thick cowhide.

Hope you guys like it as much as I do :)

You can find Manuro and his beautiful works here: http://manuroartis.deviantart.com/

It is 380 usd ;)

Sold!

True work of Art sir ! Superbly carved handle with intricate detail and a fine looking Damascus, yet the knife does not look 'busy'. It has a natural flow of these elements which to me make it Art as well as a useful tool, likely one that cuts with ease and precision.
For this fine work your price is reasonable but out of range for an old retired person like myself so i must be content with admiring it in pictures rather than in person.
Congratulations to yourself and the talented carver.

Thanks a lot! I am happy that you like it. :)
Yeah, I know it is quite pricey, my knives are usually cheaper, but since I haven't done carving myself, I had to raise the price. Manuro's art is breath taking but also expensive.

"Manuro's art is breath taking but also expensive."
And so it should be. I bet for the time involved the carver is actually charging little if expressed as a per hour rate. He needs to feed himself and maybe family from his work.
There is no need to apologize for the price. It is most reasonable for the time and skill involved.
I'm nearly talking myself into buying it !
Better stop while i can.

For the sake of my own sanity, it is better not to start counting the working hours on it :D
