Good Afternoon,
I was watching The Lords of the Rings a while back and this happened. It looks to me like something one of the elves in the movie would be carrying. The balance is a couple inches forward of the front bolster but because of the way the blade tapers it feels light and fast in the hand. The hamon looks really cool in person but as usual I struggle to get it in the pictures especially with the length of this blade.
This blade is made from 1/4" W2 convex ground to 2000 grit and etched to expose the hamon.
The balance is a couple inches in front of the front bolster
Handle is burlap micarta with brass bolsters
Edge is convex ground to 1000 grit.
Sheath is leather with a set of 2 inch bronze rings on each side so there are multiple mounting possibilities
