This knife was inspired by the knives seen in the Lord of The Rings. It is not a replica of any specific knife. I roughly followed the shapes of the elvish blades that are seen in the movies. I had fun making it, and it will most likely not be the first of its kind. If you are a Lord of The Rings fan and have any ideas for projects that you think I should attempt, let me know!

I can't see the pictures, maybe it's just my phone at the moment, is there a chance you could put a link up with pics?
 
I like it a lot. It's almost a disservice to describe it as LOTR inspired; it's a really nice design in its own right. I am a LOTR fan though (and generally a bit of a nerd). Do you think there would be much use for the kukhri-like small knife that Aragorn carries in his off-hand? Could be a cool little project.

You mean the knife given to him by Celeborn in Loth Lorien? Funny you should mention it. I was thinking that should be my next project!

Outstanding. Love the design and hue of that walnut, really contrasts well with that brass guard. Excuse my terminology, I'm not too familiar with knife making, but the protrusion of the blade down near the handle which would appear to act as a finger guard is an awesome touch for the curvature of the design. That hamon too..... Sorry, LOTR anything can get me going. Very well done.

I would also be very interested in buying a knife based on that one. When Aragorn draws that knife in the LOTR movie, I'm struck by how beautiful and lethal it looks.

There are replicas being sold on the internet, but those are mass produced copies of a movie knife, which is very different from what a knifemaker like yourself could do, inspired by the LOTR knife but not just copying it.

Should your forge handle her size, please consider this project: High Elven Warrior Sword. Sorry I dunno the proper name.
