Embark on a new snark

Been a couple months since i got a new becker in the mail, but it looks like i will have a new addition next week :) I struggled in choosing between a BK10 or a BK5 in a trade.

I was all set to go with the BK10... But the other day my wife was making ribs and said I need a longer knife for chopping thru bones and stuff.... Then today she asked if she could use one of my longer blades in the kitchen for some watermelon... so its settled, the BK5 would be more useful, my wife might steal it until i get her the becker kitchen knives, that is if the sale is still going on the 1st, if not i might not ever get to use the 5 lmao
 
Also got a titanium keychain bottle opener and pry tool in today. Been wanting one for a while but some of the prices on some of them scared me away. If i said i got this for anything other than its looks, id be lying. But it does seem to be decent quality. It was under 20 bucks so if it breaks later i wont be so pissed, but i did put it between a couple bolts and tried to bend it to see if it was strong and it seems to be pretty tuff. Its real light so i thought it would bend easy but it didnt. This is my first titanium tool thing so i cant really compare it to much but it was worth the price just as a bada$$ looking bottle opener lmao

Last night I embarked on a new adventure, I walked to the bar that is far (1.5 miles each way) and it was GLORIOUS! Live music, knew the bartender, she hooked me up with industry prices on my drinks, and I got SHATFICED! It was quite lovely. Today has not been quite so glorious, although I made a new friend... :D
 
Its on the bay, but i got it cheaper shipped from china. shipping only took about 7 days so i was happy with that. If you google tiremet titanium tools you will find it, I got mine from "doing something not indoors" lmao when you see the site it will make sense.

theres other stuff too, like this defense ring "tool" thing.

A1paracord are you a knot guy?

Do we have any beckerhead knot tiers, paracordist or what have you?
 
A dream of mine is a Microtech bottle opener .... $80.00.... i think my beer would open up its self once it saw the Microtech coming.
Unless i start to fart money it will stay a dream.
 
That one does look cool! Its like 60 bucks on the river store, still a lot for a bottle opener though!
 
My dream is for a bottle opener that is also a knife! If it was made by Ka-Bar that would be even MORE badass!

Well Thorny. Its right there with the other 23 Maguas, 19 Yumas, 11 Tradewaters, 9 M9's, 27 M-18s I need to make to fill other orders. Not to mention the hornets, and making stock for local gun and knife shows, Ethans next gathering, Blade 2014. Oh and I forgot about custom orders. So you prooooobably won't be gettin it tomorrow. :D seriuosly though. I make the Maguas in batches of 10. Totally out of stock for them now, but geting a jump on the sheaths and as soon as some $$$$ comes in from some projects I'm finishing up, I will be ordering some more stock.

I've played around with some different knots and made some bracelets among other things but not much more that that. I do like knots though it's just fallen off of my immediate interest list.

You totally right. That full time job, being a father of two, a husband, a baseball coach, and a contributing member of the community and avide beer drinker really gets in the way sometimes. :D looks like I need to re-prioritize. Or at least start crackin the whip on Murph. ;)

im having a crazy hard time trying to do some turk heads. I want to put a couple on my hawk like this guy did but the videos are hard to follow

Re-prioritize? Yes! Avid beer drinker should be closer to first on the list! at least before contributing member of the community :) j/k

I can't promise I can make that particular knife and hit the allowed budget. But I'm sure we can negotiate some kind of happy medium.
